4 Step Prayer that Gets Results
To get your prayers answered you must first receive
Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior according to
Romans 10:9. Once saved, you can now enter the
arena of prayer where God delights in answering
your petitions. If you are not saved (born again) or
you are not sure you are saved, then please click
Receive Life now to make sure you are saved.
Before we start, make sure you have no unforgiveness
in your heart toward anyone and turn from any sin
that would be displeasing to God. Sin will prevent your
prayers from being answered. Galatians 5:19-21 gives a
list of some of the sins that will prevent you from getting
your prayers answered and will keep you from
inheriting the Kingdom of God.
Let me share with you four steps that will get your
prayers answered, guaranteed!
1. Ask
- "Whatsoever ye shall ask the Fatherin my name (Jesus), he will give it you." - John 16:23b
If you don't ask, how can you receive from God? Ask and
make sure what you are asking is in line with God's Word.
God does not answer prayers that do not line up with
His Word. His Word is His will for you.
2. Receive
- "What things soever you desire, whenye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have
them." - Mark 11:24
Very, very important. When you ask God for something
you must believe that you have received your prayer
answered that instant, not sometime in the future.
Believe He heard your prayer and answered your prayer
at that moment because you asked in faith, you asked
in the name of Jesus and you asked in line with His will.
Remember, His Word is His Will.
So, the moment you ask Him for something, you must
believe you own it, you have the title deed to what you
asked for. Otherwise you are not in faith. And according to
Hebrews 11:6 it is impossible to please God without
faith. Use your God given imagination and see yourself
with what you asked God for. See yourself with it now.
3. Wait
"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage,and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the
Lord." - Psalm 27:14
The waiting time is that period of time between
the time you first asked God in prayer for something
and the time it is actually manifested, you
can now see it or feel it. It's in your hands.
So, what do you do during this waiting time when
Satan may try to make you doubt that God heard
and answered your prayer? Very important. During
this waiting time you thank, praise and worship God
because He answered your petition. That's faith,
acting like you have it before you can actually see it
with your physical eyes.
4. Manifestation
You asked, you believed you received when you prayed,you waited and now the pay off. God manifests your
prayer. Your prayer has been heard, answered
and delivered. It is now physically in your hands.
You've got it! Hallelujah! Now make sure you thank
God for manifesting the answer to your prayer.
God loves us to release our faith in His glorious
promises. If you will follow these steps, you will
see an answer to all your prayers, no matter
how big or small. We serve a big God. Dare to
believe and act on God's Word and you will reap
the benefits of answered prayer.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence
of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).

Thank God for Everything? Good and Bad?
I had been trusting in many of God's promises for healing,
renewed youth, wisdom, success in life, financial prosperity,
victory over sin, peace, a Christian spouse, confidence,
great faith in God's word, correct eating habits, power to heal
the sick, power to successfully witness to the lost as well as
a myriad of other things, but the manifestation of the promises of God
coming to pass in my life seemed very slow, very slow indeed.
One day I asked God what would be the most holy, righteous
and quickest way to see God's promises come to pass in my
life. In other words, what was the quickest way to get rid of the doubt
and unbelief in my heart so God's promises would manifest and
become a reality in my life. I believe He gave me the answer.
The Lord had me read Merlin Carother's book Prison to Praise.
In this anointed book I learned from Romans 8:28 and Ephesians 5:20
that through thanking and praising God for both good and bad
things in our lives we release the power and ability of God to change
and perfect those things (Psalm 138:8) in our lives for the better,
including getting rid of doubt and unbelief.
It might sound stupid, even blasphemous for you to thank God for
the bad things (sickness, fear, poverty, bondage to sin etc.) that happen in
your life, but God is sovereign and nothing happens in your
life unless He gives the okay. So why does He allow bad things
in your life? He loves you and has a purpose for your life and
He allows good and seemingly bad things in your life to help
fulfill His will for your glorious destiny. He tells you in 3 John 2
He wants you to "prosper and be in health, even as thy soul
prospereth."
Again, I emphasize that when you thank and praise God for both
good and bad things then His power is released to
perfect those things in your life. Here is a testimony I will
share with you to help you understand how this works:
A very distraught soldier came to Merlin Carothers when Merlin
was still a chaplain in the Army. Crying, the soldier said his wife wanted to
divorce him. Chaplain Carothers had the soldier kneel with him
in prayer and thank God his wife wanted to divorce him. Shortly
afterwards, the soldier got a phone call from his wife and she
apologized and said she was not going to divorce him. Praise
the Lord for His faithfulness to transform the worst situations
into something beautiful.
Here is a testimony of my own. One day after learning about
the power of thanking and praising God for both the good
and bad things in my life, my computer would not connect
with the internet and my printer would not work. Instead of
grumbling and complaining (God hates grumbling and
complaining), I lifted my hands and thanked God that my
computer would not connect to the internet and that my
printer would not work. What happened? My computer
connected to the internet and my printer started spitting
out copies it would not print before. God specializes in
miracles.
So start thanking and praising the Lord for both the good
and bad things in your life. God is faithful and He will begin
immediately to release His power and ability in your life to
perfect those areas in your life that need perfecting. God
bless you as you refuse to grumble and complain, but give
praise and thanksgiving to a loving and faithful God.
